At Avana, we know there’s something special about supporting local businesses that bring heart and character to our community. That’s why we’re so excited to launch Around the Block by Avana, a series where we celebrate unique and inspiring local spots that make Regina such a wonderful place to live. These businesses have earned our Around the Block Approved stamp, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

For our second feature, we’re diving into something just as indulgent but with a buttery, flaky twist—Crème Café.

Crème Café: A Taste of Artistry in South Regina

Nestled in the heart of Harbour Landing, Crème Café is more than just a café—it’s a celebration of artistry, passion, and flavour. Founded in 2022 by Martin Nguyen, a seasoned pastry chef with experience in some of Toronto’s most prestigious hotels and luxury dessert shops, Crème Café brings a touch of elegance and innovation to Regina’s food scene.

A Café Rooted in Tradition and Creativity

Martin’s journey started in the tea and coffee farms of Vietnam, where he developed a deep appreciation for nature’s finest ingredients. This connection to the land inspires the unique pastries and desserts crafted at Crème. With a background in Baking and Pastry Arts Management from George Brown College, Martin worked in high-end establishments like Bisha Hotel, Hotel X, and Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise before creating his patisserie in Regina.

Step inside Crème Café and you’ll find a bright, inviting space filled with natural light, friendly staff, and the irresistible aroma of fresh-baked pastries and expertly brewed coffee. Every detail, from the ambiance to the carefully crafted menu, is designed to delight the senses.

☕ Pistachio Tiramisu Choux – A delightful combination of crunchy choux pastry, tiramisu mousse, espresso crème pâtissière, and pistachio crémeux.

🥐 Almond Flat Croissant – A buttery, crispy croissant topped with toasted candied almonds for the perfect balance of crunch and sweetness.
